magneto—x:

Of course Magneto happens to catch the clicking on the hardwoods, he had smiled when he remembered the woman whom it belonged to, Amelia. He walked around the corner and walked toward the approaching woman. His arms wide open as his smile remained, Magneto felt like a father to her at this very moment. The feelings of pride and happiness he had for her yet the emotions of having one of his important members, let alone an adviser, leave them was disheartening but all he wanted right now was to properly say goodbye.

“Amelia,” he paused before he hugged her, letting go just seconds after when he notices the precious ‘cargo’ her child. “May I?”

The heavy footfalls alerted her to another presence coming her way, and she felt her throat tighten when the very familiar aura of her “boss” of sorts - though she considered him more of a friend - close in on her. She let out a soft breath when she noted he was rather accepting, and held the child in one arm so that she could return his hug. Amelia was careful as she did so, knowing that her daughter wasn’t too fond of small spaces - but she was rather happy he was close like this. The woman smiled as drew back, though she beamed when he took note of the child.

“Of course, Magneto,” Amelia said softly. She didn’t hesitate to help him hold her, though she was still nervous to allow it - the baby was hardly two weeks old. “Her name is Andraste.”

It was almost sad, thinking that this would be the last time she’d come through these halls for a good, long time. Closing her file temporarily in the Brotherhood was something that she didn’t really want to do, but the woman knew that raising a child in halls like these was something even worse that leaving. She brushed golden hair from her slightly sweaty face as she packed the last of her things into a small suitcase, bending over to close it properly. Her now-flat abdomen certainly helped in the matter, and she couldn’t help  but smile as she thought on her newborn daughter who was none too far away, cradled in the arms of her bag helper.

Amelia rose quickly and brushed the dirt off of her skirt before taking said baby from the man, directing him silently to pick up the bags. The small creature fit so snugly in her arms, and the perfection of her daughter nearly stole her breath away. She was so pale, so perfect - pale blue-green eyes framed by reddish-brown hair, the little curls so soft and sitting just right. The blonde brushed the fingers of her left hand against the child’s forehead, her new ring catching for a moment but quickly becoming free. She breathed a sigh before kissing her forehead, smiling gently against the baby’s soft skin.

The moment didn’t last, though - Amelia straightened up quickly and headed out of the room, heels barely sounding against the wooden floors as she made her way down the hall. She didn’t much care if she disturbed anyone, let alone met someone along the way - it would do to say goodbye, she thought, but she would not go out of her way to do so.

zombie-vega:

Vega shifted her weight away from Amelia, taking a step backwards. She knocked into a table, which a vase wobbled on top of when she hit it.. The intricate object fell to the ground with a shattering sound. The sound startled Vega and she jumped up. She could feel the anger in Amelia’s words, but she didn’t know why.

“I…I don’t know.” her eyes fell to the ground. “His eyes were too inviting” she tried to hide the little laugh that escaped her.

The woman was tense, hormones flooding her veins. She wasn’t mad at Nitro for this, no, and she knew she shouldn’t be mad at the girl, but she was, and it pissed her off more than she knew. Too inviting? Yes, she knew he was too inviting. She knew because after one conversation she was in his bed, after five she was finding herself attached, after ten she cried her eyes out when he left. She had lost count when he came back, but the damned ‘inviting’ man was the one she loved.

“Mm, they are, aren’t they?” Her tone was slightly cold, her vision red, sparks flicking into existence. She wasn’t going to be the one to stop it right now, she would need a hand - anger was an emotion she tried to stay away from. “Such a deep, warm green… Nearly the same colour as our daughter’s.”

zombie-vega:

Vega bent down along side Amelia and reached out for her books and scattered papers. Embarrassment now filling her veins where her blood used to flow. Her eyes darted up to Nitro who seemed to be backing away. It almost looked like he was trying to motion to Vega about something. Why was he waving his arms like that? It, of course, didn’t click that the woman in front of her was the woman he was with. Upon gathering her papers and shoving them back in her bag, she stood back up and extended out a hand to help the pregnant woman to her feet.

“I’m just stupid.” she admitted. Biting her lip, her eyes went between Nitro and Amelia. This made her feel like a insecure child. All she wanted to do was flee from this situation. Vega could still feel his warmth on her lips. It was an odd contrasting sensation from her normal cold exterior.

“I…..” she started in a low whisper “I kissed him.” her hand low at her side, pointed towards the man. Vega had no idea the implications of her words, or who she was telling.

Nitro’s actions caught the woman’s eye and she quirked a brow, resuming her focus on the floor as she gathered the pictures and papers. She handed them back to the younger girl and took her hand to stand up, muttering under her breath in quiet French about being a blimp - sometimes she hated pregnancy. “You’re not stupid, Vega…”

Amelia’s automated response was one she met, but the words kind of trailed off as her eyes flicked between the two. She knew it was a mistake, an accident, really, but it still angered her. Red briefly bled into her green eyes, her brows lowered. “I… see. Why would that happen?”

Her mouth dropped in amazement. “Three months?” She couldn’t fathom how that could come to be. “Are you excited?” Without thinking she extended her arm out and touched Amelia’s belly. A pained smile stretched across her face. She wondered if she had any children of her own when she was alive. Did she have a family? It frustrated her to not know.

“Very much so.”

Amelia laughed quietly, her eyes soft when the other woman rested a hand on her distended abdomen. It seemed to be the general reaction to her condition, and she didn’t mind it… though Vega looked rather wistful. “Are you alright, Vega?”

Vega turned away from him, hiding her increasingly blushing face. She put one hand on her face and waved the other at him. How embarrassed she was. Of course he was with someone. How stupid could she be?

Without even answering him she ran towards the door, dropping her bag full of notes and photos of people she’s met and places she’s been. She went to push herself through the doorway when she bumped into someone. Dropping her hands she looked up at the figure in front of her. A soft, albeit embarrassed, smile swept across Vega’s face. “Oh, hello, haven’t we met?” she asked, trying to forget what happened just a moment ago.

Amelia was surprised to find that Nitro was conversing with someone - he had seemed kind of anti-social as of late, not really going out and doing much. The woman had heard he was lurking, and she had sought him out purposefully.

She didn’t see the girl coming, instead bracing herself against the doorway as she was hit with a fairly impressive impact. A breath left her lips at the slight hit, though she found herself suddenly more concerned with the fact both the green woman and Nitro looked rather sheepish. Amelia creased her brow and kneeled slowly to help the other woman pick up her things. “You’re Vega, right? What happened?”

@Sunny

suns-hine:

Sunshine had been stretching out. Already she had gone for a run and was cooling off from the morning routine. She could have gone in to the garage and worked on cars, but she felt like she’d been spending too much time away from the Brotherhood lately. It was hard adjusting to being around so many others and not needing to depend on herself for everything. Having a place to stay where she didn’t pay rent or deal with a landlord was strange enough.

She pulled her hair out of the high ponytail it had been in right as she heard a knock at her front door. Sunshine turned, wondering who would be visiting her. She didn’t have to wonder long as she heard Amelia’s voice clear as a bell soon after the knocking.

“Comin’ darlin’!” As quickly as she could she took off the clothes she’d worn on her run and pulled on a comfortable tunic shirt and some cut off shorts as well. She’d already been barefoot. Sunshine opened the door with one hand and finished buttoning her shorts with the other.

She smiled at the familiar face, that hadn’t been so familiar as of late. “Como estas amiga?” Sunshine stepped out and gave her a hug, being mindful of the bump on her stomach. “Been too long darlin’.”

Amelia stood in wait for a few minutes, her nervous excitement coming off of her in waves. Would Sunshine remember her - she certainly hoped so. The woman had been a good friend and someone that she could trust; someone who had been there for her since the beginning. The door opened and she held her breath, but the other blonde’s reaction made her release it rather quickly. She hugged the woman gladly, almost forgetting about the bump - Sunny had noticed, however.

“Far too long, love,” she grinned, trying to fight tears. Damned hormones making it impossible to have any chance of remaining impassive. “How have you been? I haven’t seen you around… It’s like you dropped off the map.”
